HotStart Taq DNA Polymerase is designed to increase specificity and sensitivity in PCR.
The HotStart Taq DNA polymerase is inhibited at temperatures lower than 70°C, but is fully activated after the first denaturation step.
This prevents the formation of mis-primed products and primer-dimers during the reaction setup process, resulting in improved PCR specificity.
